Meet the Governors

Welcome to the Governors' section!

School governors are people from the school’s community who wish to make a positive contribution to children’s education.

Grove school has a very active and dedicated group of governors who work closely in partnership with staff, parents, pupils and the community. They give support, promote high standards and ensure a high quality of education for all pupils at the school.

Their responsibilities are strategic relating to the policies and ethos of the school in such matters as finance, staffing, curriculum, premises, discipline, admission and exclusion of pupils, and in relations with the local authority, parents and the community.

Meetings of the main Governing Body are open to the public and the most recent meeting’s minutes are available to download. Previous minutes can be obtained on request from the school office.
